Minuit quelque part
Premier - 6 février 2024 - Théâtre Maisonneuve
The night beats to the rhythm of surprise encounters, blinding lights and limits that crumble to reveal our deepest truths. Distilling the unifying power of dance, Midnight Somewhere (Minuit quelque part) is a journey through movement, produced by Agence Mickaël Spinnhirny. Directed by La Résistance - Lydia Bouchard and Merryn Kritzinger, ten performers guide us through seven tableaux imagined by renowned Quebec choreographers, who match each other in virtuosity to get the pleasure of movement to become contagious: Marie Chouinard’s inimitable style unites with Anne Plamondon’s intimate subversiveness, Kristen Céré’s poignant athleticism, Ismaël Mouaraki’s intoxicating physicality, Virginie Brunelle’s raw sensuality, Lydia Bouchard and Merryn Kritzinger’s poetry and Charles-Alexis Desgagnés’s explosive dazzle.

Constance is about the transition between adolescence to adulthood, a time when we intently reflect on who we are and who we want to become while trying to assert ourselves. We rebel and move away from what we were told and taught, so we can see the world with a fresh perspective.
